Myocardial inflammation markers

Myocardial markers are proteins, hormones, enzymes or other substances expressed by myocardial cells. They are usually released into the blood through cell necrosis. They are especially effective in assessing the risk of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients and providing rapid diagnosis. Inflammation is the defensive response of living tissues with vascular system to injury factors (which can be physical, biological or chemical stimuli). The vascular response is the central link in the inflammatory process, which can be acute or chronic. Acute inflammation usually has obvious redness or swelling of the skin; on the contrary, chronic inflammation has a slower onset, unobvious characterization, and diagnosis is difficult, and relevant markers are needed to assist the diagnosis.
